Backflow Testing & Repair Technician

Job description
We are searching for someone to test and repair backflow preventers for annual inspections required by local utility departments. This is a great opportunity for someone who is experienced in backflow testing or repair, or one looking for a new career with potential for advancement. Comprehensive training is provided. This is a full-time, piecework position.
Qualifications and Requirements:

High school diploma or GED
-
Valid Florida Driver's License
-
Reliable, work-capable personal vehicle
Work is performed outside in the elements daily, often in conditions such as heat, cold, wind, and rain.
Examples of Duties:
-
Receive, prioritize, and route work orders
-
Safely navigate to and from each job site
-
Perform backflow inspections and repairs
-
Ensure care of materials, supplies, tools, and equipment.

Maintain thorough and accurate records and perform data entry on a daily basis, including: work orders, logs, reports, and readings
-
Receive and respond to guidance from Senior Technicians
-
Provide customer service
-
Maintain knowledge of relevant local utility codes and requirements
-
On call/after-hours/weekend Emergencies
Required Skills and Abilities:

Mechanically inclined

Attention to detail

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems

Exceptional verbal and written communication

Ability to provide excellent customer service

Excellent time management skills
-
2 years of trade or relevant experience
You will be required to attend a 4 day certification course that spans two weekends upon hiring.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
Schedule:

8 hour shift

Monday to Friday
